It's awards season... no not the Golden Globes and Bafta stuff.. The Sony's.. the radio equivalent..
(well we like to tell ourselves that)...
Last year the judges weren't able to find anyone else to give the Silver award to in the Imaging categeory
(the supposedly witty bits between the songs n stuff)...
We picked that award up after only being on the wireless dial for a couple of months..
So this year we're a smidge on the busy side trawling back through bits and pieces we have archived
across the year..
It's a strange one.. we think that if you listen to smallish stations across the country between now and
Wed the 21st you may just be able to hear the tiredness leaking out your stereo...
We all get told keep ALL your audio.. We actually took note of that piece of advice last year -
alas, Jack being the only radio station in the country to refresh all those bits between the songs so often,
we've realised we actually have about 4000 bits to listen to.. Add to that nearly 800 Morning Glory
promotional trailers (hey they need all the help they can get promoting their show)...
all the local events we've promoted and Greg Burkes amazing trip to Afghanistan, the chats with Gordon
Brown, David Cameron, Boris Johnson... and their tolerance of Jack's unique style and questions....
and we're probably just about sick of hearing ourselves as you probably often are!
Anyway, this is an apology for whatever stuff ups you hear across the week...
The stuff ups that come after that are just the usual ones that really dont have a proper excuse.
