2008 .... The Year That..

We sent a little mail around the office with a request to complete that sentence..

Joe:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for… winning silver at the Radio Academy wards and being summarised by the judges as ‘bravely simple’

and 2008 .. the year that… I realised turning 21 does actually turn you in to an adult.

 

Greg: For me 2008 was the year that I will remember because I met Gordon Brown, David Cameron, the Dalai Lama and His Holiness Boris Johnson. Oh, and the same year that I crapped my pants as I touched down in Afghanistan.

and 2008… the year that I became an uncle for the first time. Hello Max.

 

Karen:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for a doing what I want !  Moving from down under to Oxford 2008 .. the year that…..  brought me to FM107.9 and JACKfm …

 

Robbie:  thought i might throw a couple in, here goes

2008, was the year i will remember for keith and I scooping an interview and meeting Mark Ronson and Lily Allen at Gatecrasher. .. 2008, the year that keith t put on a skirt, carried a wand and became a fairy! - (nothing new there!)

 

Sophie B:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for..

Losing someone special to us..

I DIDN'T lose my job!

Keith:     For me,2008 was the year my twin girls were born Keira & Rose who make me smile everyday.

2008.. the year that I met more people in than I every have done before..

 

Sophie H: 2008 .. the year that…..  I joined Jack!!!

 

Glynn:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for a girl signing off a text message to the Morning Glory 'that geeky girl Fran' and the joy of starting our relationship on air.

also 2008... the year that I lost my funniness mojo, and also got it back.  Mostly. Maybe two out of every five times.  Ok, one out of five

 

Rosie:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for talking to Geri Halliwell about poo.

2008 ...  the year that goofiness ruled supreme and determination payed off!!!

 

Pete:  For me,  2008 was the year I will remember for.. me buying my first property – Why why – I must be a fool! In debt for the rest of my life now! L

 and... 2008 .. the year that…..  I got married!

 

 

Sue:   2008 was the year I discovered Shakespeare is brilliant (ok, and so is seeing David Tennant 3 times in Stratford)..

The year my mum came to the UK for the first time (I've been here 10 years)

Oh, and the year my mum got a computer AND the internet - she's the MSN queen!

2008 the year that I had my 20th school reunion - what insanity, flying home for a week, but great fun!

oh and also the year Trevor Marshall sideswiped me onair with the whole " I have just realised who you were out with on Saturday night till 5:30am, I.T guy saga thing". You are a b%stard Trev!
